Pitch (one paragraph)

Twistika is a tongue-twister practice app with a twist nobody else has: Twist Duel, a 2-player local game where one phone passes between two players who take turns reading twisters aloud while the other player scores them. Pass-the-phone gameplay, ternary scoring (Got it / Almost / Missed), no timers, no microphone. Pure trust between players. Solo practice across 15,000 hand-curated twisters in 15 languages, with voice recording and waveform playback so users can track their pronunciation across takes. The new Speed Ramp drill sweeps each twister three timed rounds (warm up, fast, blazing) with a live voice waveform, per-round replay, and savable takes, turning casual reading into structured pronunciation training. Local-first, no account, no ad tracking.

What makes it different

  • A 2-player local game (Twist Duel). The pass-the-phone format is unique in the category and naturally TikTok-friendly: people record themselves failing duels competitively.
  • Speed Ramp practice drill: three timed rounds per twister (warm up, fast, blazing) with a live voice waveform, per-round replay and retry, and savable takes.
  • Voice recording with waveform playback. It turns the app from a content browser into a practice tool. Up to 5 takes per twister, side-by-side comparison.
  • 15 languages, ~1,000 twisters each. Every language is hand-curated, not auto-translated.
  • Share a twister as a card. One tap builds a branded image card (twister, language, difficulty, store link) and hands it to the device share sheet. Nothing is uploaded by the app itself.
  • Local-first privacy posture: no account, no third-party cloud sync, no advertising tracking. Optional Google Play Auto Backup restores progress on reinstall, with audio recordings excluded by design.
